THE REASON
|
The Caregiver Justice Project was founded to answer this question.
How can we empower Caregivers, make Caregiving a sustainable career, and better the quality of life for Caregivers and those in need of care? We must fundamentally change the way we think about Caregiving. We advocate for equitable wages and benefits, access to continued education, and support and family services. We seek to improve the quality of life for Caregivers while affecting the state of care overall. Through the Caregiver Benefit Fund we offer empowerment programs providing scholarships, child-care, transportation, and housing support. We work to ensure quality care for older adults, behavioral health patients, and people with disabilities by creating quality jobs for direct care workers. The Caregiver Project proactively addresses crisis by conducting research on the state of the direct-care industry, and educating the public. Empowering Caregivers raises the quality of care for everyone. |
